This is a great way to earn more points because you earn points while going through a shopping portal and you earn points on your card for spending. We call this a STACK because you are earning points from two places (portal + your card).
HOW LINK YOUR AMERICAN EXPRESS ON RAKUTEN TO EARN POINTS INSTEAD OF CASH BACK
For American Express cards you will want to head to Rakuten! By using my link you will get $30 cash back your first time using it! First you will make a free account on Rakuten.com When putting in the information of how you want to get paid by Rakuten. It will give you three options check, Paypal, and American Express Membership rewards. You will select the American Express Membership rewards.
You will then be redirected to your American Express account and you will finish the linking process. Now anytime you go through Rakuten and click on stores that you normally shop at you will be earning points there and on your card!
Tip: If you do a lot of online shopping on your desktop I would highly suggest adding Rakuten as an extension on your Chrome browser. The reason is if you are shopping online the extension will pop up anytime you could be earning points. You simply hit activate and are now earning double points! If you are on your phone you need to go through the app.
